Family Health Clinic has been in practice since the late 1960's. Dr. Robert Shepard joined the practice in 1978, Dr. Jim Burkholder in1983, Dr. Richard Sargent in1991, Dr. David Lechner in 1992, Bev Roope, FNP-C in 1996, and Dr. Diana Corzine in 2000.

In 1991 the physicians began providing services at the Boulder Medical Clinic in Boulder, MT. This clinic is a rural health clinic and provides service to Boulder, Basin, Clancy, and Whitehall areas. Each Physician travels to Boulder one afternoon a week to see patients. Lori Lagerquist, PA-C has been with the clinic since 1991, and provides services in Boulder five days a week.

Family Health Clinic is committed to providing multi-generation family care in the greater Helena area. We have a special interest in Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and newborn care. We typically have 100 or more deliveries per year. We are committed to long term care of families.

All physicians are Board Certified and residency trained in Family Practice. All five physicians are practicing all aspects of Family Practice. Board Certification in Family Practice requires 50 hours per year of continuing medical education and re-certification every seven years. Physician Assistants are required to complete 100 hours of CME every two years, and must retest every six years nationally. Nurse Practitioners require .
