Dr Richard P. Sargent

Dr. Richard Sargent was born in Sheridan, Montana and raised in Montana and Idaho. He graduated from University of Washington School of Medicine in 1984 and completed a Family Practice Residency in Boise, Idaho in 1987. He then served a four year term in the Public Health Service in Chiloquin, OR. While there he was named Outstanding Rural Physician in Oregon. He joined the Family Health Clinic in 1991, when Dr. Whitesett left. Dr. Sargent has been Chairman of Quality Assurance at St. Peter's twice in the past ten years. He has a special interest in finding and using the evidence based approach to medicine.

Dr. Sargent is married and has three children. Outside interests include skiing,gardening, home remodeling and singing (in his church choir).
