Dr. Ken V. Eden
Consultations in Gastroenterology

Dr Ken Eden emigrated from England with his parents in 1949 and was raised in and around Baltimore, Maryland. He is a graduate of University of Maryland School of Medicine, and completed an internal medicine residency at the University Hospital.

Ken and Liz Eden first came to Montana with the Public Health Service in 1973. After 2 years with the Montana State Health Department practicing preventive medicine and epidemiology, Dr Eden moved to Denver to complete a fellowship in Gastroenterology. After a year of teaching in the University of Washington primary care internal medicine program, the Eden's love of Montana reasserted itself and they returned in 1978. After 20 years of practicing both primary care internal medicine and gastroenterology, Dr. Eden's practice is now limited to consultative gastroenterology. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. During his 23 year career in Helena, Dr Eden has returned frequently to the University of Colorado to learn the latest technologies in the diagnosis and treatment of liver and intestinal diseases and has introduced them to St Peter's Hospital and the Helena community.

Dr Eden is active in hospital and community affairs and presently serves as a St Peter's board member and as Vice President of Medical Affairs. Liz Eden is an elementary school librarian in Helena. Ken and Liz have two grown daughters who share their parents love of the mountains, hiking, skiing and travel.
